Google has launched a national competition to select one or more communities to receive the installation of an ultra high-speed Internet network, 100 to 1,000 times faster than current speeds.  

 

If selected, this technology would attract high-tech industry to our area, improve education, medical services, and home Internet access.  

 

Google is looking for genuine and creative answers to the question:

"Why should Google build a fiber to the home network where you live?"

1-- Select "Submit Online Nomination to Google" in top right corner of this page

2-- Then click on "Nominate Your Community" on right side of Googe web page

3-- Sign in your exisiting Google Account or Create a Google Account (required for nomination submission to prevent multiple submissions from same person)

4-- Complete the Online Nomination Form (see example), using the Community Group Name:  Google Twin Counties Rocky Mount & Your Company / Organization Name, if applicable

5-- Return to this page and "Post to Scoreboard" on right, to be sure your nomination is counted in our tracking report to be submitted to Google (results updated on home page four times daily)
