- Go to www.googletwincounties.com.
Submitting an Online Nomination - On the top right side of the page click on “Submit Online Nomination to Google.”
- Click on the option on the right "Nominate Your Community."
- If you already have a Google Account, login to proceed to the nomination form; if you do not have a Google Account, then you will need to Create a Google Account (required for submission to prevent duplicate nominations from the same person) Please Note: If you have to Create a Google Account, you will not automatically proceed to the nomination form. You will need to return to www.googletwincounties.com to re-start the nomination process and login with your new Google Account information.
- You will know you are on the Nomination Form Page when you see the title Get Involved: Resident & Community Groups. Complete the nomination form fields listed below:
- Name (Your first & last name)
- Your Organization or community group (Google Twin Counties Rocky Mount and/or Your Business or Organization, if applicable)
- If you are responding on behalf of an organization or community group please describe it. (List Google Twin Counties Rocky Mount: A community interest group to build awareness and support of the Google Fiber to Communities Initiative, as well as any additional description of your company or organization.

- Why should Google build a fiber to the home network where you live? (Answer this question from your personal, business, organization, or community perspective as to why the Twin Counties is deserving of this opportunity to receive ultra high speed internet and specific ways that it would benefit the Twin Counties. Consider such areas as economic development, education, health care, employment, etc.)

- What is your actual download speed during the evening? You can use a third-party website like Speedtest.net or tools at Measurement Lab and YouTube Speed to learn about your internet connection.
- What is your actual upload speed during the evening?
- How much does your Internet service cost per month?
- Is your Internet service “bundled” with other services like TV and Phone?
- How many times in the last month did your high-speed Internet service not work correctly, slow down, or frustrate you?
- Describe the quality of your home internet service customer support.
- What would you like to see improved about your current service? Check all that apply.
- Click Send Nomination.
- Return to the www.googletwincounties.com site and click on the “Post to Scoreboard” link to add your submission to our tracking. Since we cannot see or track individual nominations, it is critical that you post your efforts to the scoreboard so we can provide this information to Google as part of our overall application process.
